9/14: Thanks to Victor Carrillo for hosting the 1st Annual Nixon Open 2024 Supported by Innova in South El Monte CA. We had a decent turnout with 76 competitors, 8 of which played in MPO. This C tier tournament went smoothly and had a $687 purse to offer. Bryan Vagi #23985 took first shooting -7 through one round cashing $142. Chris Shotwell #41918 and Jordan Behn #191511 came in a close second tying at -6, both cashing $77. As usual in LA, the weather was hot, with temperatures up to 105* with no noticeable wind.

10/13: The Coyote Classic at Lake Casitas: On October 13th, Clint Root Hosted the Coyote Classic at Lake Casitas disc golf course. The weather was warm and beautiful, with highs of 68* and light wind. After four rounds, Xaelen Nash #46192 took first place, shooting -42. Nash shot the round four hot round with an impressive bogey-free -12. A fun fact about Nash is that he is the 3-year-old distance record holder. Coming up at a close second place, Daniel Rubalcaba shot a -38, shooting the hot round on round 3. Thank you to everyone who came out and competed, see you all next year!

9/1: The Rumble at Reidy Sponsored By Discraft: On September 1st, Kyle Blanchard hosted another annual Reidy Rumble, this year with some new talent! It was a hot one out there today with temperatures clocking in at up to 95*. The players didn’t seem to mind, though, as we saw some impressive scores. Sias Elmore #57425 took first place shooting -21 through 2 rounds. Reid Olgin #174210 came in second place with a neck-and-neck finish, shooting -20. Both Elmore and Olgin Dominated this tournament blowing their competition out of the water. Congratulations to both of these players, we are exited to see what you guys have in store next.

9/1: Also today, we had a smaller AM tournament in Flintridge CA, The Endless Summer Am Jam Presented by Discraft. AM Oak grove legend Mathew Coe took first place shooting -13. Paul Alonso in second with -7. And Ryan Alexander in third with -6.

9/7: Today, Anthony Suarez hosted a first-ever disc golf tournament at Fairmount Golf Course. This tournament had a small turnout, with 65 competitors and only 8 MPO players. Gavin Bos #187956 took first place with a -35 through 2 rounds, cashing $207 for his win. Behind him was Ethan Wellin #28804 in second with a -29 and Kris Leasau #87783 with a -24. Weather was scorching hot, with highs of over 110*. Thankfully there were no heat strokes, and all players had fun despite the heat.
